Daytrove is designed to keep your personal dates private. We do not sell your data, track you across apps, or include third-party advertising analytics.
Data stored on your device
Countdowns, anniversaries, categories, reminder settings, and appearance preferences are stored locally in the app.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync, app data is stored in your private Apple iCloud/CloudKit account so it can sync across your devices. Apple operates that service under its own terms and privacy policy.
Photos
A photo you choose as the list background is copied into the app's private storage. When you explicitly save a generated share card, the app asks iOS to add that image to your photo library.
Notifications
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally through iOS. Notification permission is requested only when you choose to enable reminders.
App lock and Face ID
If you turn on the app lock, unlocking is handled entirely by iOS using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. The app only receives a success or failure result. Biometric data never leaves your device and is never available to us.
Purchases
Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your payment details. To recognise your purchase across your devices we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous purchase identifier and the receipt Apple issues. It receives none of your dates, photos, or reminders.
Tracking and analytics
The app does not perform advertising tracking and does not include third-party analytics SDKs. Apple may provide aggregated App Store and diagnostic information according to your Apple settings.
